Talented young left-back, a product of the club's youth system, who broke into the first-team during the 2018-2019 season
Lycett is another in a long line of successful graduates from the Hednesford youth system, playing for the Pitmen's age groups until he was promoted to the first-team picture and trained with the first-team squad during the early stages of the 2018-2019 season. He made the first of five substitute appearances for the Pitmen in a 2-0 defeat at Hyde United in November 2018 and was an unused sub four more times before playing in the final game of the club's Evo-Stik Premier League campaign as a late substitute at Witton Albion. During the season, Lycett had also been called up into the England Schoolboy International squad after impressing for the Staffordshire County FA in a trial game at Stafford Town
In May 2019, Lycett was the latest player from last season's squad of players to agree a new deal with the club for the forthcoming season. He played in a number of the Pitmen's pre-season games and involved with the first team several times during the 2019-2020 campaign before the season was brought to an abrupt end due to the coronavirus pandemic
In June 2020, Lycett penned a new deal to remain at the club for the 2020-2021 season under new manager Andy Morrell
