player bio

A highly-regarded young keeper who joined Hednesford on a long-term loan from Vanarama National League North neighbours AFC Telford United in October 2019

Telford-born and a Bucks fan as a youngster, Wycherley joined Shrewsbury Town as a junior before linking up with all-conquering Welsh Premier League side The New Saints in April 2015. He spent the next three seasons in The Park Hall club's youth system, making three first-team appearances before being loaned out to Cymru Alliance side Guilsfield in the summer of 2017 on a season-long loan. By this point, he had been recognised by Wales a U17 level with a clutch of caps

Wycherley left TNS in the summer of 2018 and linked up with his hometown club during pre-season, agreeing a two-year deal with the Bucks. Despite his relative youth, he enjoyed plenty of game time as Telford narrowly missed out on the National League North play-offs in April 2019. During the campaign, he was challenged by two men who both served the Pitmen during the season also, with Josef Bursik and Sheridan Martinez both staking a claim for the number one spot at various points in the campaign

With Telford signing Coventry City youngster Corey Addai on loan in the summer of 2019, Wycherley played a number of games for Southern Premier League Central side Barwell, agreeing to link up with the Leicestershire-based outfit on a month's loan in August 2019. After completing his loan at Kirkby Road, he returned to Telford and made a number of starts for the Bucks after Addai had departed for Redditch United

In October 2019, with Telford again in the market for another keeper - this time signing Matt Yates on loan from Derby County - Wycherley was again forced to go out on loan for first-team football, joining the Pitmen on a month's loan ahead of their home game against Redditch in October 2019. At the end of the intial deal, Wycherley's loan at Keys Park was extended until the end of the season in November 2019
