Talented midfield man who re-joined the Pitmen in January 2020 from local rivals Stafford Rangers

An adaptable player who can also play as a winger, Stafford-born Davies started out as a junior at Chasetown, coming through the youth ranks for the Scholars before joining Coalville Town in July 2014. He went straight into the Ravens' first team at the start of the 2014-2015 season, impressing in midfield during the early part of the campaign. In February 2015, he joined league rivals Romulus for a short spell, before being invited to train with Vanarama Conference North side Tamworth in March 2015

After a successful spell at the Lamb, Davies agreed a deal with the club until the end of the season, breaking into the first-team picture and earning himself a deal for the following season. He enjoyed a good spell in the side at the start of the campaign, before being loaned back to Chasetown in February 2016 for three months to gain further match practice

Davies played more during the following season, clocking up over a dozen starts for the Lambs and earning himself a further year's extension for 2017-2018. However, he found first-team opportunities limited at Tamworth under Andy Morrell as they struggled to maintain their step two status and was loaned to the Pitmen in September 2017. Davies made his debut in a heavy 5-0 defeat to Mickleover Sports, but suffered a nasty-looking injury at the end of the first half, clattering into the advertising hoardings and coming off at the break. He made only two more brief appearances as a substitute before returning to Tamworth the following month

In February 2018, he was loaned out to Southern Premier League side Redditch United for a month to gain more match time, returning to Tamworth just before they were relegated to step three in April 2018

With Tamworth looking to regroup in the Southern League Central in 2018-2019, a number of players were released by the Lambs in May 2018, with Davies a casualty of their relegation. The following week, however, he joined the Pitmen on a permanent basis after Smith had moved to bring the locally-based player back to Keys Park

Davies impressed during the pre-season programme and started the Northern Premier League season with a bang, scoring a spectacular goal in the Pitmen's 2-1 win at Farsley Celtic in August 2018. However, injuries curtailed his impact on the team as the Pitmen went through another spell of turmoil off the pitch with Smith and Larry Chambers leaving the club in November 2018 to join Halesowen Town

Davies departed the club in January 2019 just after returning to fitness to join the Pitmen's local rivals Stafford Rangers, joining his hometown club on a deal until the end of the season. He earned a new deal with the Marston Road club in the summer of 2019 but endured a frustrating time at the start of the 2019-2020 season with spells in and out of a struggling Stafford side

In February 2020, Davies made the return journey across Cannock Chase to rejoin the Pitmen for a third spell. He made a clutch of appearances for the Pitmen before the season was curtailed in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic

After being invited back for training in the summer of 2020 under his former Tamworth gaffer Morrell - now the Pitmen's manager - Davies impressed as a triallist and earned himself a new deal with the club in August 2020. He was a peripheral figure for much of the campaign but started more games under new manager Keenen Meakin-Richards until the season was halted and voided in early 2021 due to the pandemic

In June 2021, Davies followed several of last season's squad in signing new deals with the Pitmen going into the 2021-2022 Southern League Central season. Another spell on the sidelines was to follow as the player picked up an injury in pre-season that saw him miss the first half of the 2021-2022 season. After returning to fitness, Davies joined North West Counties League Division One South neighbours Brocton on a dual registration deal in December 2021 in a bid to gain valuable match practice

However, Davies was to suffer more injury woes and was ruled out until the end of the 2021-2022 season in February 2022 with more ankle issues that required surgery. Despite these issues, Davies did agree terms with the club for the following season in June 2022
