PLAYER BIO

Tall, hard-working winger/striker who joined the Pitmen on dual registration from Rushall Olympic in January 2024

A former trainee at local rivals Chasetown, Reid came through the Scholars youth system and made his debut in the 2014-2015 season. Later in the year, Reid relocated to Nottingham to attend University there and linked up with Belper Town for three seasons, playing for the Nailers as he worked football around his studies

In December 2017, Reid made the short move across the East Midlands to join Long Eaton United, scoring three times in twenty-five starts during a two-season spell at Grange Park before joining Quorn in November 2019

His form for the United Counties League Premier side for the remainder of the season was excellent, grabbing eleven goals in thirty-two starts before the season was brought to a shuddering halt in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic

In May 2020, with hopes of the 2020-2021 season starting as normal despite the pandemic, Reid returned to his native West Midlands at the end of his studies and joined Rushall. It was to prove a short season for all as the campaign was voided in December 2020 due to the pandemic

Reid agreed a new deal with the Pics for the following season but was used almost exclusively as a substitute as Liam McDonald's men finished fourth in the Southern Premier League Central but lost out to Coalville Town in the play-off semi-final

A move to league rivals Stourbridge in the summer of 2022 saw Reid again used largely as a substitute at the Amblecote before joining Vanarama National League North strugglers Leamington on a dual registration deal in October 2022, where he scored once in nine starts

It was another National League North struggler that came in for the forward in January 2023, with relegation-haunted AFC Telford United snapping the player up from Stourbridge. Reid was to make only two substitute appearances for the Bucks, however, as he returned to the Southern Premier League central in February 2023 with a move to Nuneaton Borough until the end of the season. Ironically, it was his former club Rushall that was to deny Boro a return to step two in the end-of-season play-off final, winning on penalties to clinch promotion to National League North for the first time ever

A spell out injured with ankle ligament damage over the summer months left Reid without a club going into the new campaign, with Rushall snapping him up on a short-term deal in October 2023. After being used sparingly byt he Pics, Reid was allowed to join the Pitmen on a dual registration deal to add physicality and movement to a misfiring Hednesford attack
