Hugely experienced midfielder who joined the Pitmen in June 2026 from Enterprise National League side Woking

Born in Letterkenny on the northern tip of Ireland, Gorman came over to England as a youngster to join Stevenage in 2013, earning his first professional contract at Broadhall Way in 2014. He broke into the first-team picture midway through the 2015-2016 season and would make nearly fifty starts for the club in the next three seasons as Stevenage consolidated their position in the EFL. Gorman also picked up fifteen caps for Northern Ireland U21s during this three-season spell, scoring once

Gorman joined National League side Leyton Orient in the summer of 2018 and helped the O's to promotion back to the Football League at the second attempt as they swept to the National League title under Justin Edinburgh. He remained at Brisbane Road for the 2019-2020 season but fell out of favour during the campaign and was allowed to join league rivals Newport County on loan in January 2020 until the end of the season

The midfielder returned to the Emerald Isle in September 2020 as he linked up with NIFL Premiership side Glentoran on a one-year contract. The Belfast-based side were to finish third in Gorman's only season at the Oval, finishing below bitter local rivals Linfield and Coleraine

 

A return to England in July 2021 saw Gorman sign for National League side Yeovil Town for an undisclosed fee, where he was an ever-present in the 2021-022 season with forty-two starts. Despite being offered a new contract by the Glovers, Gorman turned down their offer and elected to return to the South East of the country to sign for Yeovil's league rivals Barnet

Taking on the Bees' captaincy, Gorman's first season was a continuation of his ever-present season the previous year at Yeovil as Barnet finished fifth in the National League table, losing to bitter local rivals Boreham Wood in the quarter-final

Gorman captained the Bees for a second season in 2023-2024 but missed a large chunk of the middle of the season due to injury. His return towards the end of the season helped Barnet to a second-placed finish. Once again, Barnet failed to navigate the play-off as they were beaten by Solihull Moors at the semi-final stage

A short hop across to Surrey saw Gorman sign for Barnet's league rivals Woking in July 2024. Once again taking the captaincy, Gorman enjoyed a superb first season at Kingfield as the Cards finished in a slightly disappointing fifteenth place. By this point, the midfielder had been ruled out in the long-term after picking up a horrible ACL injury in a derby win over Aldershot Town in April 2025

He finally returned to action in March 2026, ironically against Aldershot, after a rollercoaster month for the player that had seen him assume the role of joint interim manager of the side alongside Jake Hyde and Craig Ross before the permanent appointment of Jermaine Defoe later in the month

After leaving Woking at the end of his contract in June 2026, he agreed to link up with the ambitious Pitmen ahead of their National League North campaign
