F.A. Cup 2nd Qualifying Round
Hednesford Town 4 Rugby Town 1

The Pitmen earn themselves a trip to near neighbours Shifnal Town in the third qualifying round if this season's F.A. Cup after a largely dominant replay win over Rugby Town this evening. Elliott Johnson's first-half goal was added to in the second half by yet another Manny Duku brace, with Rob Stevenson coming off the bench to grab the night's fourth goal and ease the hosts through to the next round

F.A. Cup 3rd Qualifying Round draw
Shifnal/Redditch United v Rugby/Hednesford Town

Today's draw for the third qualifying round of the F.A. Cup has handed the winner of the Rugby Town/Hednesford Town replay a local away tie, with the winners of tomorrow night's replay due to travel to either Shifnal Town or Redditch United, who replay themselves tonight. The tie will take place on Saturday 28th September

The two sides will have to do it all again at Keys Park on Tuesday night after sharing four goals in today's second qualifying round tie at Butlin Road. Trey Charles headed the hosts into a first-half lead that was cancelled out by Manny Duku's close-range strike right on half-time. Duku then headed the Pitmen into the lead midway through the second half before Charles struck a superb volley past Jack Rose to level once more

Mossley 1 Hednesford Town 0


The Pitmen turn in arguably their poorest league display of the season so far at Mossley this evening and leave Seel Park pointless on their long journey up to Lancashire. Steve King's side were undone by a fine goal from Mossley's Mason Fawns just before the break and failed to find a way back in the second half, despite Elliott Johnson hitting the woodwork

F.A. Trophy 2nd Qualifying Round draw
Hednesford Town v Chasetown


Today's draw for the second qualifying round of the F.A. Trophy has handed the Pitmen a huge local derby against their near neighbours and league rivals Chasetown. The two sides will meet at Keys Park for the second time in under a month on Saturday 21st September, 3pm kick-off. This will see the scheduled league game against Atherton Collieries re-arranged for a later date
