Clever, intelligent striker who returned to Keys Park in June 2025 from National League North side Chester

Stafford-born Turner joined his local side Port Vale from the age of eight and spent ten years at junior level with the Valiants before signing as a first-year professional in April 2016. He was sent to local non-league side Kidsgrove Athletic at the start of the 2016-2017 season to gain valuable first-team experience, scoring five times in four starts before returning to Vale Park in October 2016

In January 2017, Turner made the step up by two levels to join Vanarama National League North side Worcester City on a month's loan where he only made one appearance in a 1-1 draw against Curzon Ashton. After returning to Vale Park, Turner enjoyed a run in the first team squad under caretaker manager Michael Brown until the end of the season, where he was offered a contract extension by the club for the following season

Turner started the season in the first team once more, scoring his first Vale goal in August 2017 against Crawley Town. However, he fell out of new manager Neil Aspin's plans and ended up joining Vanarama National League North side Tamworth on a month's loan in January 2018. This was to prove an unlucky move for the teenager unfortunately as manager Andy Morrell was dismissed by the Lambs soon after Turner had arrived at the club, limiting his opportunities to just three starts

Another contract extension followed for Turner in the summer of 2018 from Vale, who immediately loaned him out to Scottish Championship side Falkirk on a six-month deal until January 2019. Once again, however, the loan proved to be a unproductive for the youngster as a hamstring injury early on in his spell, coupled with a change of manager with Paul Hartley replaced by Ray McKinnon and the loan was terminated in October 2018

More appearances followed from the bench for Vale after recovering from injury in December 2018 before the club confirmed in May 2019 that Turner would be one of six players being released at the end of their contracts

After spending the summer months training with Stoke City and trialling for Macclesfield Town and Curzon Ashton, Turner linked up with Northern Premier League side Hyde United before the start of the 2019-2020 season. He was a regular in the Tigers' side, making thirty-six appearances and scoring eight times before the season was brought to an early finish and subsequently voided in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic

In June 2020, Morrell - appointed as Hednesford manager in May - brought Turner to the PRG Stadium @ Keys Park, making the forward his first new face since joining the club ahead of the 2020-2021 season. His bright start at Hednesford - five goals in twelve games - was cut short through the pandemic once more as non-league football came to a halt once more in November 2020

In February 2021, Turner was offered a chance to step up a level as Vanarama National League North side Leamington took Turner to the New Windmill Ground. Over the next two years, Turner established himself as a step two striker of repute as he finished as the Brakes' top scorer in both seasons. This prompted big-spending divisional rivals Brackley to pay an undisclosed fee to bring the striker to St. James' Park in June 2023. However, a season of being in and out of the side saw Turner only register five goals as Brackley narrowly missed out on promotion via the play-offs

June 2024 saw Turner move back closer to his Stone home as he joined fellow Vanarama National League North side Chester. A goalless first half of the season saw Turner make the return to Leamington in December 2024, where he rediscovered his goalscoring touch with four goals for the Brakes in a three-month loan spell back at the New Windmill Ground

In June 2025, with his one-year deal at Chester at an end and with significant interest in the player from more National League North sides, Turner elected to make a return to Keys Park ahead of the Pitmen's Northern Premier League campaign in 2025-2026
