Established National League goalscorer who joined the club from Scunthorpe United in September 2026

The son of Steve Whitehall - another prominent non-league striker from the late 1990s - Danny started out as a junior at Liverpool before being released in 2012, joining League Two side Rochdale upon his departure from the Anfield Academy

After two years with the Dale U18s, Whitehall joined his father's former club Southport for a brief spell at the start of the 2014-2015 season, making a handful of substitute appearances before making the short move down the coast to Marine. His spell at the Marine Travel Arena was also a short one as he moved to Prescot Cables in November 2014

In March 2015, Whitehall elected to make the move to the United States to study, playing for several years in the American college system for SIUE Cougars, based in Illinois, and Hastings College in Nebraska. He broke most of the team's records in his two seasons there, scoring ninety-three goals in seventy-five games

His goalscoring form attracted interest from more senior clubs, with NPSL side Chattanooga FC drafting the player for their 2017 campaign

With Chattanooga transitioning into a full-time side in 2018, Whitehall left at the start of the year to return to Nebraska to join the newly formed Bugeaters of the UPSL League. With another successful season in front of goal behind him. Whitehall departed the US at the end of his deal in early 2018 and returned to the UK, eventually linking up with National League side Maidenhead United just before the start of the 2019-2020 season

His form in front of goal at York Road was excellent, scoring thirteen times in only twenty-two starts, which was a major factor in the Magpies narrowly avoiding relegation at the end of the COVID-affected season. His form had not gone unnoticed, with Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock snapping up the striker in July 2020 on a one-year deal. His year in Scotland saw him used almost exclusively as an impact substitute, although he did score four times in only seven starts at Rugby Park

After returning to England in August 2021, Whitehall joined National League outfit Eastleigh on a two-year contract. He was in excellent form for the Spitfires in both seasons, averaging a goal every two starts as they finished a lowly nineteenth in year one and ninth in year two

At the end of his Eastleigh deal, fallen giants Scunthorpe United were his next stop in July 2023 as the relegated National League outfit looked for an immediate return to step one in their forthcoming National League North campaign. His regular goalscoring lifted Scunny into a title race with Tamworth, losing out to the Lambs before being beaten by local rivals Boston United in the play-off semi-final

The following season saw Scunthorpe go toe-to-toe with Brackley United for the title, with Brackley coming out on top and leaving the Iron with another shot at the play-offs. This time they were successful, beating Chester 2-1 in the final to return to step one. Whitehall was rewarded for his contribution with a new two-year deal at Glanford Park

An excellent sixteen-goal return from the striker in 2025-2026 helped Scunthorpe to an impressive fifth-placed finish in their return to the National League, losing out in the play-off semi-final to former club Rochdale

After eight goalless games at the start of the 2026-2027 season, Whitehall agreed to drop back down to the National League North with a move to Keys Park, joining the shot-shy Pitmen for an undisclosed fee in September 2026
