Powerful young front man who joined the Pitmen in August 2026 for an undisclosed fee from EFL Championship side Bolton Wanderers

A graduate of the Trotters' academy from the age of 16, Abimbola signed his first professional deal at the club in the summer of 2024, making several appearances for the U18 side before being handed his chance towards the end of the season with a run of four games in League One, including a start at Lincoln City on April 2025

With Bolton flying high at the top of League One midway through the 2025-2026 season, Abimbola was loaned to League Two neighbours Accrington Stanley for a month, where he scored once in three starts against Bromley before returning to Bolton in May 2026

Bolton - now a Championship side again after clinching promotion - accepted an undisclosed offer from the Pitmen for the teenager in August 2026, with Abimbola making the move south to Keys Park ahead of their National League North campaign
