Hugely experienced winger who joined the Pitmen in June 2026 from Enterprise National League North side Chester

A former Bradford City trainee, Leeds-born Mottley-Henry came through the Bantams' academy to make his first-team debut for the club in April 2015, coming on as a substitute in a home game against Preston North End

​

In January 2016, he joined Vanarama National League side Altrincham on a month's loan, making six appearances before joining National League North neighbours Bradford (Park Avenue) on a loan deal that stretched until the end of the season in February 2016

​

After his contract at Valley Parade had come to an end, Mottley-Henry moved down to South Yorkshire to join League One side Barnsley on a free transfer. His four-year stay at Oakwell only garnered a handful of substitute appearances, with the winger spending most of his time there out on loan

His first loan spell saw a return to the National League, joining fallen EFL side Tranmere Rovers on a three-month loan in October 2017. After thirteen appearances at Prenton Park, Mottley-Henry was loaned to League Two strugglers Chesterfield for the remainder of the season

A return to Tranmere followed at the start of the 2018-2019 campaign, where he was used mainly as a substitute in a six-month spell before returning to Yorkshire in early 2019 and a loan spell at National League high flyers Harrogate Town until the end of the current season

After four substitute appearances for Barnsley during the 2019-2020 season, Mottley-Henry was allowed to rejoin Bradford on a free transfer in January 2020. He was a regular in the Bantams side for the remainder of the campaign, but was used sparingly in the early part of the COVID-affected 2020-2021 season and made the move to Northern Ireland to link up with the NIFL Premiership side in January 2021

His short stay in Northern Ireland came ot an end in July 2021 as he returned to the City of Bradford to rejoin now-National League North Park Avenue, this time on a permanent deal. He was in excellent form for Avenue throughout the 2021-2022 season as they struggled to maintain their step two status with an eighteenth-placed finish

Big-spending Northern Premier League side South Shields was his next stop in the summer of 2022, signing a two-year contract with the Mariners. A highly impressive campaign saw Mottley-Henry help Shields to the league title and a first-ever promotion to National League North. His second season there was to prove very much a frustrating one, with loan moves to league rivals Warrington Town, Alfreton Town and Buxton throughout the campaign before being released at the end of the 2023-2024 season

Mottley-Henry remained at step two in the summer of 2024 with a move to former Football League side Chester; after a good first half of the season, Mottley-Henry found himself out on loan at Northern Premier League side FC United of Manchester for the second half of the campaign

2025-2026 was to prove to be the winger's best season to date, as he was a virtual ever-present in the Chester ranks with thirty starts and thirteen goals to help his side to a seventh-placed finish and a second successive season in the play-offs. However, defeat to Macclesfield in the quarter final ended the Seals' hopes of a long-awaited return to the National League. Off the pitch, Mottley-Henrry swept the board in the end-of-season awards, winning player of the year, golden boot and away player of the season

Despite calls from the fans for the player to remain at Chester, Mottley-Henry elected to make the move south to Staffordshire and join the Pitmen's revolution in June 2026 as their second new signing of the close season
