Talented centre-back who joined Hednesford from Enterprise National League side Braintree Town in June 2026
The son of former Watford, Barnet and Stevenage Borough defender Matt, George joined Watford as a junior and signed his first professional contract at Vicarage Road in the summer of 2020
Midway through his first season, Langston was loaned out briefly to Vanarama National League side Wealdstone, where he made a solitary appearance. Despite being a regular in the Hornets' U21 side, Langston failed to make the grade at Watford and was released in the summer of 2022
A return to the National League saw him join Eastleigh in June 2022, where he went straight into the Spitfires' team and made nearly thirty starts in his first season there. Season number two at the Silverlake Stadium saw Langston cement his place in the centre of defence, missing only four games across the whole campaign as Eastleigh finished in a disappointing thirteenth place
Langston was surprisingly released by Eastleigh at the end of the 2023-2024 season and was allowed to join newly-promoted National League side Braintree Town. His leadership qualities shone through and was awarded the captaincy of the club shortly after the start of the season, helping Braintree to a respectable seventeenth position on their return to step one
Langston continued on as the Braintree captain in 2025-2026, although he could do little to stop the Iron from being relegated back to National League South at the end of the campaign with a twenty-third placed finish
After surprisingly being released at the end of his deal at Braintree - despite making just shy of 100 starts over the two seasons at Cressing Road - Langston was unveiled as Hednesford's ninth new face of the 2026-2027 pre-season, going into their National League North campaign
