Australian midfielder who joined the Pitmen in July 2026 after a long association with Salford City

Melbourne-born Curran-Nicholls played his youth football in his home city before moving to the UK as a teenager in the summer of 2023, training with Salford City's B team for much of the 2023-2024 season whilst playing for Northern Premier League West neighbours Stalybridge Celtic. He made thirteen starts for Celtic, including Harry Harris's first game as Hednesford manager at Keys Park in October 2023

In March 2023, he stepped up a level to join Northern Premier League side Warrington Rylands on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Curran-Nicholls was officially named as a Salford City player in the summer of 2024, making several appearances on the bench for the first team during his first season. He returned to Rylands early on in the campaign for a month's loan period, making four starts once more

On transfer deadline day in March 2025, Curran-Nicholls made a loan move to Vanarama National League North side Southport on a deal until the end of the season, again making a handful of starts whilst at Haig Avenue

A strong start to the 2025-2026 season saw the midfielder make three appearances for Salford in the early rounds of the EFL Trophy before being loaned out once more to step two, making the temporary move to Marine in December 2025 for a month

After his Salford contract came to an end in May 2026, Curran-Nicholls earned himself a deal with the Pitmen ahead of their Enterprise National League North campaign
