Hugely talented left winger who joined the Pitmen from Northern Premier League side FC United of Manchester in July 2026

A member of the Bolton Wanderers academy from a young age, Fitzmartin signed a professional contract with the Trotters in June 2021 before heading out on loan to Northern Premier League side Stalybridge Celtic on a six-month loan. After eleven games, Fitzmartin suffered an injury that curtailed his spell at Bower Fold, but returned later in the season for a shorter send loan spell there

After being released at the end of his one-year deal at Bolton in May 2022, Fitzmartin signed for Northern Premier League neighbours Atherton Collieries, where he enjoyed a fine season for the struggling Colls as they finished a lowly eighteenth

His form for Atherton had alerted other sides in the Manchester area, with FC United moving to sign the youngster in July 2023. Over the next three seasons, Fitzmartin blossomed into one of the star performers at step three level, weighing in with both goals and assists from the left side for the Reds in over 100 games. 2025-2026 saw FC United challenge both Hebburn Town and Hednesford for the title before falling away in the final three weeks of the season and losing in the play-offs

With the promoted Pitmen now going full-time and rebuilding their squad for National League North, they moved to bring the exciting winger in from their former league rivals for a fee
