Experienced driving midfielder who joined the Pitmen in October 2025 after a spell at Vanarama National League side Gateshead
A Hull City trainee from a young age, Sheaf - the younger brother of Wrexham's defensive midfielder Ben - signed his first professional contract with the Tigers in 2018 and made his first-team debut as a substitute in the final match of the 2018-2019 season against Bristol City
The following season saw Sheaf sent out on loan, joining League Two side Cheltenham Town on an initial six-month deal. He impressed at Whaddon Road during the first half of the season, with the loan being extended until the end of the 2019-2020 season as a result
After appearing for Hull a handful of times at the start of the 2020-2021 season, Sheaf dropped into non-league football in January 2021 another loan move, this time to Vanarama National League side Torquay United, where he remained until the end of the season
His deal with Hull had now come to an end, so the free agent linked up with National League North side Gloucester City in August 2021 after a trial spell. After playing most of Gloucester's games in the first half of the season, Sheaf joined National League South side Hungerford Town on loan in February 2022 until the end of the season
Sheaf's most pivotal move came in August 2022 when he linked up with Southern Premier League Central side Redditch United. He was to go on to become an ever-present at the Valley Stadium in the 2022-2023 season, making a whopping fifty-two starts and grabbing eight goals from midfield
His form for Redditch had, unsurprisingly, attracted attention from higher up, with Scottish Premier League side Ross County snapping Sheaf up for an undisclosed fee in July 2023. Sheaf spent the 2023-3024 season in and out of a struggling Ross County side, appearing against the likes of Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs as the Highland-based outfit narrowly avoided relegation
2024-2025 saw Sheaf out of favour at Ross County, wth only three substitute appearances to his name before he was allowed to join Gateshead on a free transfer in January 2025
After a couple of starts and a handful of substitute appearances, Sheaf agreed a new deal with the Heed for the 2025-2026 season but was to struggle with injuries at the start of the campaign and was released in October 2025. He joined the Pitmen a few days later, starting the 0-0 draw at league leaders Lancaster City
