Young left-sided player, able to play in defence or midfield, who rejoined the Pitmen in November 2023

Tamworth-born Armitage started out in the Burton Albion academy, alongside future Hednesford loanee Tom Hewlett in the U18 side before signing his first professional contract with the Brewers in the summer of 2020

In October 2020, he was allowed to join his hometown club Tamworth for a short spell on loan to gain some first-team experience, only for the season to go on a permanent hiatus during this period due to the coronavirus pandemic

Armitage returned to Burton in November 2020 and played for the Burton U21 side for the remainder of the campaign before being released from the Pirelli Stadium in May 2021. He made the short switch to Nuneaton in June 2021 and linked up with Boro for the forthcoming Southern League Central campaign

He impressed manager Jimmy Ginnelly during pre-season to make the left-back role his own at the start of what was to prove a mixed start to the 2021-2022 campaign for Nuneaton, making fourteen starts at Liberty Way before essentially being involved in a swap deal that saw Ryan Pryce move to Nuneaton and Armitage switch to Keys Park

After a spell mainly amongst the substitutes, Armitage was allowed to join Sutton Coldfield Town in March 2022 on loan to gain valuable match action. This move was made permanent in the summer of 2022 as the teenager made the switch to Coles Lane for the forthcoming season. Armitage established himself as the Royals number three from the opening game of the season, making forty starts as they finished in a mid-table position in the Northern Premier League Midland

In August 2023, Armitage moved to Midland Football League side Hinckley, making five starts for the Barwell-exiled club until new Hednesford manager Harry Harris moved to bring the youngster back to Hednesford on a dual registration deal in November 2023, making Armitage his first signing as the Pitmen's boss
